Bookings
What is the waiting time allowance for the driver?
A 15-minute waiting period is provided for all regular pickups, while airport pickups include a 45-minute waiting allowance unless specified otherwise. The waiting time commences from the scheduled booking time, even if the driver arrives early. Beyond the allotted waiting time, the operator's discretion will determine any additional charges, typically around £5 per 30 minutes. If you believe you've been overcharged, please reach out to us for assistance.
What is the recommended timeframe between my flight landing and booking a taxi?
The suggested duration can vary based on the airport and time of day. Generally, we advise booking your taxi for 30 to 45 minutes after your flight lands. It's important to include your flight number when booking, as our seasoned drivers can assess the additional time required for customers to exit the arrival terminal.
What is the allotted waiting time for additional pickups and drop-offs?
A standard waiting time of five minutes is typically provided for a single pickup. It's important to note that exceeding this time may result in additional charges at the driver's discretion. If you anticipate needing more waiting time, it is recommended to discuss and agree upon this with the transport company before confirming the booking.
How will I be notified and receive confirmation for my journey?
When you book online, you will receive two distinct emails. The initial email acknowledges the successful receipt of your payment and informs you that we are in the process of confirming your journey with our fleet. Subsequently, a second email is dispatched to confirm the allocation of a driver, indicating that your booking is secured. In the rare event that we cannot fulfill your journey, we will promptly issue a full refund, providing ample time for you to make alternative arrangements.
In the event that I require a wheelchair-accessible vehicle or a child seat, how can I guarantee that my travel needs will be accommodated?
While making your booking, you can provide detailed booking notes to inform the taxi company about your specific requirements.
I have a considerable amount of luggage; will it fit?
It's crucial to ensure that the booked vehicle is suitable for the journey, taking into consideration the number and size of luggage. For trips with a significant amount of luggage, it's advisable to reserve the next available vehicle size up. For instance, if booking a saloon, opt for an estate. Similarly, when reserving a six-seater MPV, consider booking an eight-seater minibus, and for a twelve-seater minibus, opt for a sixteen seater minibus. The price difference is often minimal, ensuring a more comfortable ride. For customers on return journeys, it's important to anticipate potentially having more luggage.
My booking has not been confirmed, and I have not received the confirmation email.
Please check your spam folder for the booking confirmation email. If you are unable to locate the email, you can access your booking by either logging into your existing user account or creating a new account with the same email address used for the booking.
What time should I plan to arrive at the airport for my journey?
It is recommended to arrive at the airport as early as possible. Consider allocating 30 minutes for passing through security, taking into account the check-in gate closure times, which may vary for domestic and international flights.
The concepts of 'one-way,' 'return,' and 'hourly' bookings?
- One-way booking:
- Description: A single journey from point A to point B, such as from the airport to a hotel.
- Pricing: Based on the number of miles driven for the specified journey.
- Return booking:
- Description: A two-way journey from point A to point B and back to point A, for example, from the airport to a hotel and then back to the airport.
- Pricing: Typically, the cost is determined by the total distance covered for the round trip.
- Hourly booking:
- Description: A booking for a specified period of time during which the customer can direct the driver.
- Pricing: Based on the number of hours the car is hired, and may also include a specific mileage allowance per hour.
What includes in hourly booking.
Each hour of an hourly booking comes with a specified mileage allowance, clearly indicated with the corresponding price. If desired, and for an extra fee, customers may have the option, subject to the driver's discretion, to extend either the duration or distance covered.
